Release the weight of past experiences and create space for calm, clarity, and confidence in your life.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) helps your brain reprocess upsetting experiences. In sessions, we briefly bring a memory to mind while using gentle bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements or tapping). This dual awareness—grounded in the present while looking back—lets your nervous system file the memory correctly so its intensity fades. Many people notice relief with anxiety, panic, PTSD symptoms, and complex grief as stuck emotions begin to move.
With EMDR, many people:
Feel calmer and more in control day‑to‑day
Reduce anxiety, panic, and intrusive thoughts/flashbacks
Lessen the emotional charge from painful memories
Restore focus and resilience to handle life’s challenges
Make faster, more tangible progress than they did with talk therapy alone
• Reconnect with yourself and strengthen your emotional resilience
Is EMDR right for you?
This work supports adults navigating grief and loss, anxiety, relationship challenges, medical or attachment trauma, and big life transitions. You may benefit from EMDR if you’re:
At a tipping point after a life change or a triggering event
Feeling stuck—even after trying traditional talk therapy
Avoiding reminders of the past or feeling on edge and hyper‑vigilant
Having trouble with decision‑making, memory, or feeling “spacey”/disconnected
Noticing uncharacteristic impatience, irritability, or out‑of‑proportion reactions
What to Expect
Step 1 — Complimentary Consultation
A brief phone or video call to understand your goals and answer questions. Together we decide whether EMDR, talk therapy, or a blend is the best fit.
Step 2 — Preparation & Personal Plan
We create a plan tailored to your comfort and pace. I’ll teach resourcing—simple, effective coping skills for your nervous system—so you feel safe and ready before we begin deeper work.
Step 3 — EMDR Healing Sessions
Using gentle bilateral stimulation, we process targeted memories while you remain rooted in the present. Over time, the emotional charge softens and you gain more space, clarity, and resilience.
Meet Ginny Paige, LCSW, LICSW — EMDR Certified Therapist
I believe healing and meaningful change are possible for everyone. Our brains have remarkable neuroplasticity—the capacity to rewire and grow. EMDR therapy should harness that potential within a warm, safe, and collaborative relationship. In sessions, you’ll have the space to be fully seen and supported as we work at a pace that’s “comfortably uncomfortable”—challenging enough to create change, never overwhelming. I offer EMDR therapy and telehealth sessions for adults throughout Massachusetts.
